I think Brittany has been most convincing as a skank in 8 Mile, and less convincing as a rich girl in Just Married. She was fine as a survivor of childhood trauma in Don't Say a Word and as a victim of parental abuse in Girl Interrupted. I think I'm looking forward to The Dead Girl' for these reasons.

We all remember the pre-coke, pre-anorexic dumpling girl, Brittany. She wasn't altogether fat but she did have a roly-poly face. From this period her roles in "Clueless" and "Girl, Interrupted" come to mind. Of course "Girl, Interrupted" provides any ant-Brit with a supremely fabulous image: That of a dead BM, swinging by her neck on a rope!

Has anyone seen the movie "Spun?"
It feautures our favorite skank in a starring role. She plays a meth addict. Gee, what a stretch...Her character's boyfriend (who operates a meth lab) is played by Micky Rourke. Another stretch. I rented the DVD not knowing that skankola BM was in the movie. I sat through the whole thing and the experience solidified in my mind a firm hatred for this dirtball. She is putrid. Rancid. Fulsome. Raunchy. Slimy. Thank God there are other people out there who are repulsed by the irritant known as BM.

SO i just move to LA. clueless, i liked the movie, so what i was a teenager when i saw it. thought she was cute (this was before she turned into the nasty skank she is).
ANYWAY,
there is this creepy guy that worked with me. i mean super duper creepy. he was a short bald italian guy. said he was a photographer. wanted to take nudes of me. begged me all the time. of course i said no fucking way, as the joke about him was he had bodies in his basement. so he brought in his portfolio for me to look at and he had some crazy shit. pics of barbies beheaded. or chics faces put on barbie bodies. then there was a whole section of brittany all naked and shit. i asked how he got them and he said "thats my sister."
yes, that is right ladies and gents, not only was the dude a nasty freak that was brittany's brother. but he took naked photos of her.

Some reporters got more than they bargained for when they tried to interview Brittany Murphy at a recent junket.

The “8 Mile” star was in the U.K. promoting her new flick, “Uptown Girl,” when she shocked journalists with what one source describes as “really erratic behavior.” At one point, Murphy lay down on the floor, declared that she was tired of everyone looking at her, and put a napkin on her face. She also reportedly grabbed a reporter’s hand, told her she looked cold, clasped and rubbed it, until the flummoxed journalist asked Murphy to release her hand so she could write. One TV crew left in despair, according to a report, after failing to get an interview because Murphy kept bursting into song rather than answer questions.

Murphy’s rep initially denied the reports, calling them “ridiculous” and telling The Scoop that she was with the star throughout the junket. When pressed, however, she conceded that she was outside the room for some of the interviews. “Brittany’s just a really sweet person,” the spokeswoman told The Scoop. “You know how some people have that wall built? She’s very warm and welcoming. She’s an outgoing person. She’s not one of those people who sits there cold in a chair.”

I may be repeating others observations here, but in my excitment to have found you all, I just had to immediately share the latest reason to loath BM. She presented a Globe the other night, and was unspeakably hideous and terrifying and yes, skanky. As she handed it, she was shown for this brief moment with this terrifying leering maniacal grin, before they quickly cut away. Who is casting this annoying awful wench? The other day, I was flipping channels and caught Brittany Murphy on "Sister, Sister."

I guess I had better things to do in '94 than watch this gem of a show, so it was new to me. After about thirty seconds of viewing I feel it safe to report that she was really skanky even then.
